The Emergency Services Show, which takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on 19 and 20 September, will feature over 450 exhibiting companies and organisations showcasing ground-breaking product and technology launches for the emergency services sector.
This year’s seminar programmes will include sessions on the Thai cave rescue, Manchester Arena attack, wildland fires, acid attacks, chemical incidents and the opioid epidemic. Collaborations between blue light services nationally (and internationally in the light of Brexit), the effective sharing of data, and the mental health and wellbeing of emergency responders will all be a key focus. The full seminar programmes can be viewed here.
An interactive Extrication Challenge, hosted by West Midlands Fire Service and judged by UKRO, will take place on the exhibition floor with live stream action captured from a range of camera angles including body worn video and drones.
Competing teams will also face realistic trauma scenarios with 10 minutes to assess, treat, ‘package’ and handover the patient to a medic.
