Rescue teams from around the world who want to take part in the ‘Holmatro Rescue Challenge’ at Interschutz 2020 in Hannover, Germany on 15-20 June 2020, must sign up before Friday 1 November next.

Looking ahead to the big event: INTERSCHUTZ 2020 just one year away!

With a joined focus on innovation, future technologies and design, Holmatro has formed a new partnership with BMW. At the Holmatro Rescue Challenge firefighters will have a chance to practice their skills on modern BMWs, offering a great learning opportunity. BMW will educate teams about the latest developments in vehicle technology, such as high voltage and chassis structural reinforcements.

Teams from all over the world will compete at the international rescue challenge to free an entrapped ‘live patient’ from the latest BMWs, using Holmatro rescue tools, putting their scene management and extrication skills to the test in a unique 20-minute scenario.

The challenge will be supervised and judged by experienced international assessors. Before getting hands on with their scenarios each team will receive a Holmatro Equipment Familiarisation Training and a Masterclass Extrication Techniques.

Besides the honour of winning the challenge, the three best teams will be rewarded with Holmatro rescue tool sets with a total value of € 50,000. The prizes will be presented on the last day of Interschutz in the categories of ‘Best Overall Team’, ‘Best Technical Team’ and ‘Best Team Spirit’.

The Holmatro Rescue Challenge 2020 will be broadcast live on streaming video, just like the first edition of the event (check the after movie on Holmatro’s YouTube channel). Registration is now open for rescue teams who would like to take part, and each team has until Friday 1 November to sign up free of charge on the event website.

Participation includes free Interschutz entrance and parking tickets for two days, and each team will be VIP guests at Holmatro’s indoor and outdoor booth.

Teams will be chosen at random with a maximum number per country and continent. The organisers will inform each team via email by Sunday 1 December if they have been selected to take part.
